“Be it for property development or social events, the support extended to Sibu Jaya by the various authorities has been very motivating and I believe it will spur us to go even further in our quest to create not just quality properties, but a quality lifestyle for the residents here,” he said after chairing a sports facility project meeting on Thursday.

facilities already available or were being built in Sibu Jaya, from petrol station to police station, fire station, supermarkets, weekend markets, private clinics, health clinics, library, fast food outlets, food courts, and factories within the township.

“None of these would have been possible if it had been the single effort of a private developer.

“It became a reality because of the close working relationship we enjoy with the relevant authorities.”

He said the Sibu Jaya team is working with Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) on next year’s calendar of events.

“I was told that they have a lot of ideas on how to improve on the Sibu Jaya Fun 5 Street Carnival and make it an even bigger event,” he said.

“Obviously without the input and permission from all the authorities concerned, the proposed event would have remained a proposal and would never have seen the light of day.”

The Sibu Jaya Fun 5 Street Carnival has been proposed to run from late August to early September next year and would feature a Water Fiesta and Fire Fiesta.
