Global Ed­u­ca­tion Fair to make four stops in Sarawak

SIBU: The Global Ed­u­ca­tion Fair will be held at Pull­man Miri Water­front on Fri­day (Dec 14) from 1pm to 5pm, Pull­man Kuching on Satur­day (Dec 15) from 1pm to 5pm; Tanah­mas Ho­tel here from 1pm to 5pm next Sun­day (Dec 16); and at Prom­e­nade Ho­tel Bin­tulu from 2pm to 6pm on Mon­day next week (Dec 17).

Or­gan­ised by GES GLOBAL Ed­u­ca­tional Ser­vices (M) Sdn Bhd, the fair will fea­ture ter­tiary in­sti­tu­tions from the United King­dom, United States of Amer­ica, Canada, Aus­tralia, Sin­ga­pore, Switzer­land, and Malaysia.

The ex­hibitors in­clude Cam­bridge Ed­u­ca­tion Group, Northum­bria Univer­sity, and Blue Moun­tains In­ter­na­tional Ho­tel Man­age­ment School.

Cam­bridge Ed­u­ca­tion Group has since 1952 pre­pared thou­sands of stu­dents to progress to the world’s lead­ing uni­ver­si­ties.

Stu­dents from over 150 coun­tries call Sun­der­land home and the de­gree qual­i­fi­ca­tions are recog­nised glob­ally.

Its fac­ul­ties of­fer a di­verse range of sub­jects from busi­ness stud­ies to com­put­ing, en­gi­neer­ing, nurs­ing, and phar­macy.

Through its part­ner­ship with Cam­bridge Ed­u­ca­tion Group, which has its study cen­tre on cam­pus, stu­dents get guar­an­teed en­try to Sun­der­land.

Stu­dents will also have ac­cess to all the univer­sity’s fa­cil­i­ties, clubs and so­ci­eties while study­ing at the cen­tre.

Northum­bria Univer­sity is lo­cated in the heart of New­cas­tle city cen­tre, which was voted the best stu­dent city five times in the last seven years.

The lead­ing Bri­tish univer­sity is the re­sult of a dis­tinc­tive com­bi­na­tion of out­stand­ing aca­demic re­search and teach­ing, in­no­va­tive pro­grammes, tra­di­tional val­ues, and so­cial and cul­tural di­ver­sity.

Its re­search was rated as worldlead­ing or in­ter­na­tion­ally ex­cel­lent in 100 per cent of ar­eas sub­mit­ted to the Re­search Ex­cel­lence Frame­work.

Northum­bria of­fers a wide range of foun­da­tion pro­grammes such as Ap­plied Sciences, Arts, Ar­chi­tec­ture and Built En­vi­ron­ment, Busi­ness, Com­put­ing Sci­ence and Dig­i­tal Tech­nolo­gies, En­gi­neer­ing, Hu­man­i­ties, Law, Math­e­mat­ics and Physics, Psy­chol­ogy, and So­cial Sciences.

Founded in 1451, the Univer­sity of Glas­gow is ranked in the top 70 glob­ally by the QS World Univer­sity Rank­ings 2018.

Based on the Com­plete Univer­sity Guide 2018 or Times and Sun­day Times Good Univer­sity Guide 2018, the univer­sity is ranked first in An­i­mal Sci­ence, se­cond in Nurs­ing, third in Civil En­gi­neer­ing,fourth in Law, eighth in Elec­tri­cal and Elec­tronic En­gi­neer­ing, 10th in Ac­count­ing and Fi­nance, and 11th in Me­chan­i­cal En­gi­neer­ing.

The univer­sity col­lab­o­rates closely with Ka­plan In­ter­na­tional Path­ways to pro­vide path­way cour­ses at Glas­gow In­ter­na­tional Col­lege on the Glas­gow cam­pus.

Path­way cour­ses such as Foun­da­tion Cer­tifi­cate and Pre-Mas­ter’s pro­gramme of­fer guar­an­teed en­try to un­der­grad­u­ate and post­grad­u­ate de­grees as long as stu­dents pass the course at the re­quired level with good at­ten­dance.

Stu­dents can en­quire about var­i­ous schol­ar­ships, in­clud­ing 100 per cent schol­ar­ships, bur­saries and Na­tional Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Fund Cor­po­ra­tion loans.

Stu­dents are en­cour­aged to bring along their aca­demic tran­scripts for con­sul­ta­tions and ap­pli­ca­tions, as well as con­sid­er­a­tion for schol­ar­ships (terms and con­di­tions ap­ply).
