Father of mall blast victim wants to have own house
KUCHING: Tchee Fah Hin, whose son Kiam Jong was among the three killed in the explosion that struck CityONE Megamall here on Tuesday, has expressed his wish to have a house of his own.
The 66-year- old, who is presently living in a shabby wooden house at Stampin Resettlement Area in Kampung Stutong Baharu here, shared his wish with the youth leaders from Gabungan Parti Sarawak ( GPS) who paid him a visit yesterday.
“The land (where the house was built on) does not belong to me. The land owner does not agree on rebuilding the house,” Fah Hin was quoted as saying in a statement.
As such, he expressed his hope that the Sarawak government could help him by giving him a piece of land in the Stampin Resettlement Area.
