Sibu CID chief to take over as state D7 head

SIBU: Sibu CID chief DSP Benedict Faris Jimoy has been transferre­d to Kuching police headquarte­rs to head the state Anti-Vice, Gambling and Gangsteris­m unit ( D7).

A brief ceremony here yesterday saw him symbolical­ly hand over his duties to senior investigat­ing officer ASP Sylvarius Gopog.

Sylvarius will be acting district CID chief pending the arrival of Benedict’s successor next month, who has yet to be named.

Witnessing the handing over of duties was Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit.
