Bintulu latest to have SMA-TDIH to develop young entrepreneurs
BINTULU: Bintulu is the latest in Sarawak to have the Sarawak Multimedia Authority ( SMA) - Tegas Digital Innovation Hub ( TDIH) which offers a platform for young and aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs to further develop their talents.
Located at the Bintulu Paragon Street Mall, the hub is the fourth one after Kuching, Sarikei and Miri.
A ceremony to symbolically hand over keys by iCube Innovation founder and chairman Dato Patrick Liew to SMA general manager Dr Zaidi Razak was held here yesterday witnessed by State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Morshidi Abdul Ghani.
Funded by SMA and managed by Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak ( Tegas), the SMA-TDIH offers access to co-working space and shared amenities, funding opportunities and facilitation, incubation and acceleration programmes as well as an entrepreneur-friendly ecosystem.
Liew, who is also TDIH consultant, said TDIH hubs aimed to create ecosystem and platform for the youths to make use of the Sarawak government provided facilities and participate in the digital economy development in Sarawak.
