The Film and Television programme at JMC Academy is heavily practical, with students learning to use cameras and filming projects within the first few weeks of study.

Students can complete at least six production projects as part of their Bachelor degree, as well as form crew on other student projects.

“This means students graduate with a show reel of their own work, as well as having experience playing different roles on a film set. This is essential for employment prospects upon graduation.

“JMC Academy also offers the opportunity to spend two weeks in Los Angeles as part of an overseas study tour,” the statement said.

At JMC Academy, students get to specialise in performance or songwriting.

“We lay the foundation with excelling in your instrument – whether guitar, voice or other instrument; playing in an ensemble; and essential music theory and aural skills.

“We then add music analysis, genre studies, tutoring, business and promotional skills to the mix so that our students can graduate as well-rounded, adaptable and entrepreneurial music professionals,” it said.
