Two men collared for car engine theft
MIRI: Police arrested two men on Friday for allegedly stealing a car engine recently.
Both suspects were detained by a team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Miri District Police Headquarters in two separate raids at Kampung Sealine here.
According to a source, the arrest was made following a police report on a car engine theft case last month.
“The victim realised that the car engine kept in a store was missing, believed to have been stolen by unknown persons.
“It is learnt that the engine was in the process of being repaired due to some damage,” said the source.
The suspects were taken to the Miri Central Police Station to facilitate investigation.
