Good Samaritans assist PDK Singai
KUCHING: A group of good Samaritans from Kuching recently assisted Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre ( PDK) Singai with the coming Christmas celebration.
PDK Singai supervisor Agatha Anazilla Nensy and several colleagues collected the contribution from the group’s representative, voluntary social worker Lim Chee Haw at his home here.
Lim said contributions in the form of rice, sugar, cooking oil and other edible items were given to the centre at Kampung Atas, Singai which provides care and therapy to 25 special needs children.
He thanked Law and fam ily from Foo chow Road No 2, Fook Lai Con struc tion in MJC Batu Kawa, Hii and Chia from Jalan Matang as well as others for their assistance.
“This is the first time we are assisting PDK Singai.
“We have assisted several other PDKs.
“I thank the donors who responded to my request to help PDK Singai reduce its expenditure.
“We believe in helping the deserving irrespective of race or creed,” said Lim, a retired marine police personnel now devoted to charity work.

So far, such assistance has been rendered to families at Kampung Sadir in Puncak Borneo, Sungai Apong here, Kampung Murud Plaman near Serian, Kampung Sinjog near Siburan, Kampung Sabang in Simunjan, Kampung Tanah Merah at Mile 27 of Kuching-Serian Road, and Kampung Mantung Marau in Serian.
