Actress Lee Si-young set to impress viewers with action skills in latest movie
SEOUL: Actress Lee Si-young is ready to impress viewers with her latest action-packed film.
In the film ‘ Sister’ which is slated for release with the start of the New Year, Lee shot all the action scenes without using stunt doubles or relying on computergenerated imagery and effects.
She nailed the scenes which include car chases, gun fights and other violence involving hammers and high heels.
“How to do the action scenes was my main concern. Director Lim Kyeong-taek suggested jiujitsu, so I took lessons for three months in preparation for my role in the film. I trained hard to make it look real,” she said at a press event in Seoul recently. “As I once competed as a boxer, he expected me to show off my action skills.”

The film is about a former bodyguard who searches for her missing sister and takes revenge.
It is scheduled to hit theatres on Jan. 1.
