Eddie Peng films documentary on marine wildlife in Costa Rica

-

A STRONG advocate for protecting marine wildlife, Eddie Peng, was seen on a volunteer mission to help wild turtles. The 36-year- old actor filmed a documentary in Costa Rica to aid the cause.

Born in Penghu County, Taiwan which is comprised of 90 islands, Eddie has always loved the oceans. He especially cares about protecting the delicate marine life. As China’s ambassador for the environmental group, WildAid, Eddie took on the rescue mission in Costa Rica for his new documentary, ‘Between the Sea and the Shore’.

Although Eddie currently has two big films, ‘ The Rescue’ and ‘ Tropical Past’ (tentative title), slated to hit theatres in 2019, the actor took time away from promotional activities and spent 11 days filming for the documentary program.

Very serious about protecting marine wildlife, Eddie provided fans with regular updates on his Instagram. There were photos of him climbing, searching and relocating turtle eggs, and leading the turtles back into the sea. When Eddie arrived in Costa Rica, he and his team continuously stressed the importance of protecting the wild turtles and the marine ecosystem.

In stark contrast to the clean and typical handsome actor fans are used to seeing onscreen, they were able to see a very different side of Eddie.

Besides financial support, Eddie put in a lot of time and effort in creating this documentary in hopes of garnering more attention and public awareness. Although the documentary’s release date has not been announced yet, a lot of Eddie’s fans are already very excited for the new project to be released.
