Rafizi, Ali Biju, Chang Lih Kang appointed PKR veeps
KUALA LUMPUR: Former Pandan Member of Parliament ( MP) Mohd Rafizi Ramli, along with two new faces, have been appointed as PKR vicepresidents.
The two others were Tanjong Malim MP Chang Lih Kang and Saratok MP Ali Biju.
They will join the other three who were elected to the post during the recent party polls, namely Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources Dr Xavier Jayakumar, Minister of Housing and local Government Zuraida Kamaruddin and former Batu MP Tian Chua.
The appointment of the new vice-presidents was announced by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in a statement issued after the PKR Central Leadership Council ( MPP) meeting here yesterday.
Also announced were the appointments of Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail as the secretarygeneral, and Semambu assemblyman Lee Chean Chung as treasurer-general.
Hang Tuah Jaya MP Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin was made PKR new information chief, while Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad was appointed as the party’s new supervising secretary.
In the statement, Anwar also announced the appointment of six new members of the MPP, namely Machang Bubok assemblyman Lee Khai Loon, Ledang MP Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, Sungai Siput MP S Kesavan, as well as Faisal Sanusi, Rayyan Abdul Rahim and Raymond Ahuar. — Bernama
