Community leader urges S’wakians to stand solidly behind GPS

-

SIBU: Sarawakians have been urged to stand solidly behind Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

A community leader for Sekuau, Penghulu Andrewson Ngalai Asom believes that only the component parties under the state coalition can fight for their rights.

“GPS which comprises Sarawakbased parties is the main platform to unite the people throughout the state. The coalition has a new direction to champion the rights and voices of the people of different races and religions in achieving progress together. It is important so we can defend our rights and interests as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 ( MA63) in line with the state and federal constitutions,” he said when contacted recently.

Ngalai also described GPS as a genuine party led by Sarawakians to echo the voices of the people in the country’s politics.

For all these, he urged all Sarawakians to give their strong support to GPS under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
