The three suspects are aged between 21 and 28 – one is a local man, while the other two are foreigners, according to Bintulu police chief Supt Zulkipli Suhaili.

He said the three were detained in the 6am operation after police found the drugs inside a sling bag on the veranda of the house.

“The suspects also tested positive for methamphetamine,” added Zulkipli.

The case is investigated under Section 39A(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952, of which the sentencing would be up to five years in prison and whipping, upon conviction.
