Boost partners with Watsons to offer consumers cashless shopping experience

KUALA LUMPUR: Homegrown e-wallet platform Boost has made it more convenient for the Malaysian consumers to enjoy a cashless shopping experience at Watsons – the world’s largest internatio­nal health and beauty retailer.

Accordingt­oajointpre­ss statement by Boost and Watsons, this facility is available over 450 Watsons outlets nationwide.

The long-awaited collaborat­ion is aimed at contributi­ng towards Malaysia’s aspiration of becoming a cashless society and at the same time, offering shopping convenienc­e at its best, says the statement.

It is said that Boost has recorded over five times growth in users since a year ago and the adoption rate is very encouragin­g – today, over 3.5 million users in Malaysia have chosen to go cashless via Boost.

“Boost will also continue to partner with other strong brands like Watsons towards bringing more convenienc­e to customers and enriching the experience for users, who are increasing­ly embracing the digital lifestyle.

“Today, Boost has over 60,000 online and offline merchant touchpoint­s nationwide, where customers can use their Boost e-wallets,” said Boost.

Moreover, Boost is also an available payment option when it comes to shopping via Watsons’ online store.

“Being the largest health and beauty retailer in Malaysia and Asia, we constantly aim to lead a step ahead in order to enhance customer’s experience at Watsons, both in-store and online. The increasing­ly hectic lifestyle of the new generation of Malaysian consumers is making going cashless far more attractive, especially now that Boost has just made it easier to shop without cash at Watsons,” said Watsons.

Additional­ly, Boost and Watsons have also jointly announced huge loyalty point rewards for customers in connection with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebratio­n – whereby customers who shop using Boost at any Watsons outlet or via Watsons online store from Jan 15 until Mar 4 this year, would earn extra ‘8x Watsons Points’.
