DAM welcomes public to Ngajat Dance Class 2019
MIRI: Dayak Association of Miri (DAM) welcomes interested members of public to join its Ngajat Dance Class 2019.
Organising chairman Jacqueline Selaka Mawar said the twomonth Ngajat dance class will be conducted in collaboration with Industrial Training Institute ( ILP) Miri.
“From Feb 4 until April 4 the class will be conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting 7pm to 9pm,” she said when conducted by The Borneo Post yesterday.
“The association’s fi rst Ngajat dance class for both male and female was conducted in early 1990s at the association’s premises but not as an annual affair.
“The association started having Ngajat dance class on a yearly basis starting 2008 with certificates presented to participants,” she revealed.
Due to the high demand for the class, it will be conducted at ILP Miri’s Intrim hall to accommodate more participants.
According to Jacqueline, fees for the whole duration of the course is nominal to encourage more people to take up Ngajat.
Students and children of members aged 7 to 12 years need only pay RM25 each while fees for those above 13 years and non-members is RM50 each.
Registration forms are available at the association’s premises or ILP Miri.
