Eight top management officers commended for excellent service

KUCHING: Eight top management officers were feted to a Retiring Heads of Department­s Appreciati­on Ceremony by the Sarawak State Cabinet Committee Meeting at Wisma Lounge in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, here yesterday.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, who officiated at the ceremony also presented plaques from the Sarawak government to the officers an appreciati­on for services rendered during their years with the government.

The officers were former permanent secretary to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Research Datu Sudarsono Osman who has served for the last 40 years, former executive secretary of Sarawak State Cabinet Committee Meeting Datu Sutin Shamat ( 38 years), former director of Welfare Department Abang Shamsudin Abang Seruji ( 37 years), and former director of Sarawak Museum Department Ipoi Datan ( 36 years), former SEDC general manager Datu Soedirman Aini ( 23 years), former deputy State Financial secretary Datu Laura Lee Ngien Hion ( 22 years), former director of Sarawak Accountant Department Datu Jumastapha Lamat, and former deputy permanent secretary to the Ministry of Industrial and Entreprene­ur Developmen­t Samat Junai (10 years).

State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, director of Human Resource Unit in the Chief Minister’s Office Ismail Mohamed Hanis and members of the cabinet were among those present.
