Recently, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg announced the RM300 special incentive for Sarawakian students who are currently pursuing studies either in Peninsular Malaysia or Sabah to return to their home state for the celebration of the Spring Festival with their families.
The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GSP) chairman said the Sarawak government was aware that the air fares during the festival period could be high, and the incentive was meant to reduce their financial burden.
Abang Johari had also pledged similar incentive for Sarawakian students who will be travelling home for the Gawai and Aidilfitri do early June this year.
