JCI Padawan, Ting Pharmacy to conduct health screening carnival
KUCHING: A health screening carnival at Kota Sentosa here, organised by JCI Padawan as part of their corporate social responsibility ( CSR) and Ting Pharmacy, will run from Feb 23 to 24.
This joint collaboration is held in conjunction with the opening of the new pharmacy ( behind Maybank branch) at Kota Sentosa from 9am to 5pm on both days. Padawan Municipal Council ( PMC) is a co- organiser of the carnival.
Its objective is to respond to the United Nation’s call for active promotion of CSR in achieving sustainable development of the enterprise and society, enhance health awareness in the local community, and stress the importance of blood donation to maintain adequate supplies.
PMC chairman and Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang will have the honour to declare open the new pharmacy at 9.30am on Feb 23.
Among activities to be held at the event are blood screening, blood donation, bone and eye screening, skin analysis, blood pressure check, and cholesterol level test. Refreshments will be served after the opening ceremony.
People are advised to fast before they come for the blood screening to give an accurate result.
