Socso to launch voucherless HSP on March 14

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The Social Security Organisation ( Socso) n is launching a voucher- less system for its health screening programme ( HSP) this March 14 to make it easier for employees aged 40 and above to go for the screening.

Its Prevention, Medical and Rehabilitation Division head Dr Azlan Darus said the system would enable employees to check the status of their eligibility for the health screening voucher through the portal, SeHAT Perkeso.

He said the system only required employees to upload their identity card and telephone numbers and they would receive confirmation of their voucher number through the short messaging service (sms).

“Since HSP was introduced in 2013, distribution of the vouchers was made through their respective employers, and there were problems like the vouchers went missing and did not reach the employees.

“To address the problem, employees who want to go for health screening at panel clinics can use the voucher numbers that are sent to them through the SMS,” Dr Azlan told Bernama at the Activ@ Work Challenge 2018 award presentation here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Socso chief executive Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said as of December last year, a total of 543,590 workers went for screening under the HSP programme.

From the programme, it was found that 73 per cent of the employees have weight problem, 62 per cent high cholesterol, 27 per cent have high- blood pressure and nine per cent diabetes, he added. — Bernama
