Kuching FA face Felda United but Ideris remains undaunted

-

KUCHING: Kuching FA coach Ideris Untong is positive about his side’s chances despite being drawn with Felda United FC in the second round of FA Cup 2019.

He admitted that the Super League outfit are the favourites but refused to be daunted by the uphill challenge and said it won’t be a barrier for his side from making an upset.

And with the presence of experienced players in the squad, Ideris is confident that Kuching FA will be able to give Felda United a good fight for a spot in the next round.

“I’m still confident with our chances.

“The advantage is on Felda United’s side as they play in the Super League and have good players.

“However, I bel ieve that the combination of new and experienced players in our squad can give the opponents a hard time in the match.

“Furthermore, we also have our own advantage of playing at home and I believe the strong support from local fans will spur the spirit of our players,” he said yesterday.

Ideris also warned his players not to be intimated by their Super League opponents, and they should focus on winning the game.

The Kuching FA and Felda United match will take place on April 3 at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya.

Meanwhile, Premier League side Sarawak will face a tough draw at PDRM.
