MMEA, Petronas Carigali donate to orphanage
BINTULU: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency ( MMEA) Bintulu and Petronas Carigali Sarawak donated about 50 packs of rice and other essential goods, as well as used clothing, to the children from Peryatim Bintulu Complex in Kampung Jepak recently.
The items were presented by MMEA Bintulu director Capt Shahref Steve Mac Queen Abdullah to Peryatim Bintulu Complex manager Nor Hafiza Awang Moslim as part of the agency’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.
“Through this programme, we hope to further promote mutual understanding and strengthen our relationship with the locals,” said Shahref during the ‘ Tabung Jiwa Murni’ presentation ceremony at the complex, where MMEA Bintulu deputy director (management) Timothy Alexander, Petronas Bintulu executive (stockholder management) Inja Margaret Bucking, and Penghulu Drahman Kawi were also present.
