MMEA, Petronas Carigali donate to orphanage

BINTULU: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcemen­t Agency ( MMEA) Bintulu and Petronas Carigali Sarawak donated about 50 packs of rice and other essential goods, as well as used clothing, to the children from Peryatim Bintulu Complex in Kampung Jepak recently.

The items were presented by MMEA Bintulu director Capt Shahref Steve Mac Queen Abdullah to Peryatim Bintulu Complex manager Nor Hafiza Awang Moslim as part of the agency’s corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) programmes.

“Through this programme, we hope to further promote mutual understand­ing and strengthen our relationsh­ip with the locals,” said Shahref during the ‘ Tabung Jiwa Murni’ presentati­on ceremony at the complex, where MMEA Bintulu deputy director (management) Timothy Alexander, Petronas Bintulu executive (stockholde­r management) Inja Margaret Bucking, and Penghulu Drahman Kawi were also present.
