Ministry holds first series of homestay package course

SIBU: The Sarawak office of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture ran a three- day homestay package course Series 1-2019 at a hotel here recently, which involved 35 participants.

The ministry’s deputy director Nurul Syaza Mohamad Amar presented the certificates to the participants comprising those from Kuching, Serian, Bau, Sarikei, Julau, Pusa and Kota Samarahan at end of the programme.

According to ministry spokesperson Roseter Chong, the course aimed to impart the knowledge on marketable homestay packages to the participants, assisting them in offering better quality homestay packages to attract more visitors to their respective areas, as well as travel agents.

She said the next series would be held from May 9 to 11 for participants from Mukah, Kapit, Miri, Limbang and Lawas.
