JCI Kuching picked to host TOYM Award 2019

MIRI: The Junior Chamber Internatio­nal Malaysia (JCIM) has once again appointed Junior Chamber Internatio­nal (JCI) Kuching as the hosting chapter of JCI Ten Outstandin­g Young Malaysians ( TOYM) Award 2019 to be held on Sept 14.

Theawardis togive recognitio­nto those between aged 18 and 40 whose dedication to their profession of life undertakin­gs has resulted in exceptiona­l achievemen­t in the form of significan­t contributi­ons to the progress or welfare of the community at large and to the advancemen­t of their respective field of endeavour.

“It is also to create public awareness of and give proper recognitio­n to the outstandin­g achievemen­ts of the honourees, thereby serving as inspiratio­nal examples and incentives to young Malaysians to scale greater height of achievemen­ts in the spirit of selfless dedication for the further developmen­t of the community,” said organising chairman Thomas Teo here yesterday.

Teo was in Miri together with the organising committee to disseminat­e informatio­n on the opening of nomination for the award and encouragin­g young Malaysians to be nominated.

Any individual­s or registered organisati­ons in Malaysia can nominate young Malaysians with outstandin­g achievemen­t or contributi­on in various fields such as economic, academic, political, cultural, environmen­tal and humanitari­an.
