Grand Old Lady Restaurant introduces new a la carte menu

MIRI: Meritz Hotel’s Grand Old Lady Restaurant All Day Dining Restaurant located on the 17th floor here has introduced its new ala carte menu and is inviting the local community to check out the latest offerings.

The new menu consists of eight sections namely starter, pans and ovens, sizzling hot plate, batters crumbs and fries, pasta, in-between snacks, hawker street food and desserts.

Fresh and simplicity cooking from the heart is what this menu is all about. Among the chef’s recommende­d dishes are Meritz Beef Cheese Burger, Fish and Chips, Rib Eye Beef Fillet and Hot Plate Series.

“Our burger patties are made from freshly minced beef with a good proportion of meat and fat that gives that finest burger texture while our fish and chips are made using English-style battered coating,” said Chef Gabriel Rogers Jaban who is overseeing the kitchen operations.

In conjunctio­n with the new menu launch, patrons can enjoy a 30 per cent discount off the sizzling hot plate series when they dine in from 11am to 2pm every Monday to Thursday from April to June.

The hot plate series is available with choices of lamb shoulder, beef, chicken, prawn and fish fillet, paired along sauces such as black pepper, curry, tom yam, teriyaki and ginger and light soy. It is also served with rice.
