KUCHING: The 2- 0 defeat at UiTM FC last Sunday has put Sarawak in a difficult position in the Premier League as the national second-tier tournament reaches its halfway stage.

Ngap Sayot interim coach Mohd Denny Da’ail demanded a resurgence from his players when they host PDRM FA at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya today.

Both teams clashed in the FA Cup previously with PDRM emerged the victors, eliminating the Crocs 5-2 to advance.

Mohd Denny has urged his players to move on from the Cup heartbreak and give their full focus in the rematch today.

“We missed the chance to score points after losing at UiTM FC last week. It was also a waste when we squandered the opportunity and advantage of playing at home.

“I don’t want it to repeat when we play PDRM FA at Stadium Negeri tomorrow (today),” he said when met at a training session yesterday.

Mohd Denny said the players need to perform at their best to keep up with the challenge and snatch three full points for the team. He also warned the team not to repeat the mistakes that have been ruining their chances in previous matches.

“Nur Shamie is still out of action but other key players can play well and it’s a good and positive sign,” he added.

“We will put our best line up as PDRM FA will go all out for a repeat win,” he explained.

Sarawak are currently eighth in the table with eight points from two wins, two draws and five defeats. The match will start at 4.15pm.
