Maintain support, loyalty to royal institutio­n, Agong calls upon all Malaysians

KUCHING: Yang di- Pertuan Agong Al- Sultan Abdul lah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah calls upon all Malaysians to continue rendering their support and loyalty to the country’s royal institutio­n.

The King also stresses that such attributes are in line with what is stated in the Federal Constituti­on.

after performing Friday prayer with the local Muslims at Masjid Darul Hana in Petra Jaya near here yesterday.

His Majesty was accompanie­d by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Later, Sul tan Abdul lah presented a contributi­on to the mosque management committee, which was represente­d by its chairman, Assistant Minister of Rural Electricit­y and also Pantai Damai assemblyma­n Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

Additional­ly, His Majesty also made personal donations to poor students from around Kuching and children under the care of Orphans Welfare Organisati­on of Malaysia ( Peryatim) and Laila Taib Orphanage Complex.

The King performed the Friday prayer with some 1,000 Muslims, which was led by Sarawak Grand Imam Dato Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.
