Coway Run returns for third consecutive year

-

KUCHING: The response to Coway Malaysia’s annual run is overwhelming; achieving more than 100 per cent of its 6,000participant goal in less than a month after the registration went ‘live’ in March.

Coway Run returns for the third consecutive year with an enhanced theme ‘Wind and Water, Back and Better’ to be held on June 30 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium. It encourages participants to live a pure and healthy lifestyle in a fun and exciting manner.

Coway Malaysia managing director Kyle Choi said they were inspired by the encouraging response to Coway Run 2019, which shows the fruition of efforts in the last two years.

“We are happy to be a part of the lives of Malaysians in inspiring them to join in our mission to not only drink clean and pure water, but also to engage in healthy activities such as running,” he said.

Participants of the run this time can expect to sprint through a mist tunnel, feel the breeze of the wind vortex and the coolness from the water zones, and feeling extraenergised and refreshed as they dash through a foam ocean.

In addition to a bigger and better run, the participants and their families can indulge in mouthwatering delicacies from various food trucks while partaking in family- friendly traditional Korean activities such as Fly High Shoes, Flip it and more at the Korean Village located near the run route.

Having entered more than one million homes this year, Malaysia’s leading water and air care specialist is dedicated to promoting pure and healthy living nationwide.

Choi said having set a higher goal of 6,000 participants this year, they are excited that the impressive participation rate stamps Coway as Malaysia’s brand of choice.

“At Coway, we stalwartly foster inclusivity and believe that everyone deserves to Live Pure without exemption. Thus, we always encourage and embrace those looking to challenge themselves as we believe that Coway Run is an apt platform to unite all on equal ground to live pure,” he added.

Coway Run 2019 will also be channeling every RM10 from the registration fees to Coway’s annual corporate social responsibility ( CSR) initiative, ‘Happy Water Project’, into giving the indigenous community access to clean and pure water for their everyday use.

Participants can choose between distances of 5KM or 10KM for both men and women for the following categories: Open (16 and above), International (16 and above), and Veteran (40 and above).

Running enthusiasts who have yet to sign up can do so before registrations close on June 9 (Sunday).
