MIRI: Sarawak Plantation Berhad (SPB) recorded an increase of 20 per cent in its oil palm fruits production for the first quarter of this year compared to previous years.

According to its executive chairman, Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi, the increase was due to the hard work and efforts of its manpower.

“This year there is an increase of 20 per cent compared to previous years. So hopefully, we can see an increase of at least 30 per cent at the end of this year.

“I want to thank all our manpower in SPB for making this happened,” he said when launching SPB Labour Day 2019 celebration at Ladang 3, located at KM 75 Jalan Miri-Bintulu here yesterday.
