Top Maju opens first FMG showroom in Sarawak
KUCHING: Top Maju Sdn Bhd opened its first Foton Motor Group (FMG) vehicle showroom in Sarawak at Pending Commercial Centre here yesterday.
In his speech, CEO of Berjaya China Motor Sdn Bhd Datuk Donald Choo thanked Top Maju for promoting FMG vehicles to East Malaysians.
“Top Maju has become our exclusive dealer in Sabah and now they have spread their wings to Sarawak. We hope they can bring FMG brand to greater heights,” Choo said.
He revealed that Top Maju is starting sales and operations in Kuching before moving in to Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.
Top Maju managing director Chok Yun Kiong invited members of the public to visit the showroom to take a look at FMG’s latest variant and enjoy discounts in conjunction with the opening.
“Potential buyers have the chance to enjoy our vans that are large, spacious, equipped with modern technology and accessories, particularly FMG’s new variant - Foton View C2 vans.
According to a recent press statement, this variant equipped with 2.8L Turbo Diesel engine is supported by the latest engineering technology from Japan alongside 5-Speed Manual Transmission with overall output of 70kW or 3,600 rpm and maximum power of 225Nm or 2,300 rpm.
It is environmentally friendly and complies with EURO 4 Emission standards, equipped with Bosch’s high-pressure common rail system, turbocharge intercooler and automatic control of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).
The petrol View C2 variant offers 2.0L 4-Cylinder engine inspired by Japanese engineering with output power of 95kW or 5,000 rpm and equipped with 5-Speed Manual Transmission with 16-valve DOHC engine and continuous variable valve timing (CVVT).
Both variants are 10-seaters with standard height panel roof of 2240mm for diesel and 1980mm for the petrol variant.
“To better serve our customers, we are providing 3S - Sales, Service and Spare Parts,” added Chok.
Choo and Chok later exchanged mementos followed by the cutting of ribbon to officially open the showroom. FMG sales manager (Southeast Asia Region) He Yong Ping was also present.
