62 SMK Tinggi Sarikei teachers receive cash incentives

SARIKEI: SMK Tinggi Sarikei yesterday presented cash incentives to its 62 teachers in recognitio­n of their contributi­on which enabled the school to record impressive results in last year’s Pentaksira­n Tingkatan 3 (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinatio­ns.

The recipients comprising 32 PT3 and 30 SPM teachers received the incentives during the school’s Teachers’ Day celebratio­n. The cash incentives for SPM teachers were sponsored by the school’s management board while the alumni associatio­n sponsored that of the PT3 teachers.

The school management board represente­d by its chairman Pemanca Chan Phan Chan handed over the incentives while the alumni associatio­n’s Dr Chieng King Chong (chairman), Wong Siong Nee (deputy chairman) and Ho Koh Lu (committee member) presented the incentives to the PT3 teachers.

The school principal Ting Sing Teck was among those present during the event.
