Motorcyclist injured, pillion rider unhurt in crash
MIRI: A motorcyclist was injured while his pillion rider escaped unhurt after they were involved in a single-vehicle accident at Bukit Song around 9pm Friday.
It is learnt that the duo, aged 20 and 26, was heading towards Miri from Ladang 3. Upon reaching Bukit Song, the rider suddenly lost control of the machine and skidded.
He sustained injuries on both hands, and scratches on his leg and cheek.
His pillion rider escaped unhurt, and contacted the Civil Defence Force for assistance.
Several APM personnel rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 9.16pm, and immediately assisted the injured victim and rushed both to Miri Hospital.
The rider was reported to be in stable condiiton at press time.
