Agrofest to feature produce from Kapit and Song

KAPIT: The Agriculture Department will hold the ‘Kapit Agrofest 2019’ next month at the Bletih State Complex lobby.

It will feature the various agricultural activities and products of Kapit and Song districts.

The products include ensabi, daun sapun, terung asam, durian, dabai, langsat, longan, as well as freshwater fish, and handicrafts such as pua kumbu and beadwork.

There will also be talks on kelulut farming, demonstration on how to ferment organic fertiliser, planting Musang King durian, cooking demonstration, and how to sell products online.

During a meeting on the event, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat encouraged landowners to open up their land for agricultural activities with the improved transportation network.
