Regas introduces MINI Cooper S 3 Door 60 Years Edition
KUCHING: In conjunction with the 60th anniversary of MINI, Regas Premium Auto introduced the MINI Cooper S 3 Door 60 Years Edition at its showroom in Jalan Tun Jugah here last Saturday.
Limited to only 60 units in Malaysia, this special-edition MINI is a one-of-a-kind collector’s model packed full of exclusive features, design and innovation.
“For over 60 years, MINI has captured the hearts of millions worldwide for its timeless motor racing spirit. With the MINI 60 Years Edition in the brighter and more eye-catching ‘ New British Racing Green’ exterior paint finish, this exclusive model pays tribute to MINI’s British racing pedigree and paves the way for a new era.
“Captivating from every angle, the MINI 60 Years Edition radiates style and a itude with a nod to the past, while looking towards an exciting future,” said BMW Group Malaysia managing director Harad Hoelzl in a recent press statement.
This edition features the anniversary-specific Bonnet Stripes, Logo Projection, Door Sill, Walknappa Leather Steering Wheel, Leather Lounge in Dark Maroon, Interior Surface and the exclusive 17-inch light alloy wheels in the version of 60 Years Spoke 2-tone with run-flat tyres.
It comes with the New British Racing Green exterior paint finish with Pepper White roof and mirror caps. Alternatively, the exclusive model will also be available in ‘Melting Silver’ with Jet Black roof and mirror caps.
For its engine and performance, it boasts a two-litre four-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo engine capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds. Complete with a seven-speed DCT Steptronic Sports Transmission, the MINI 60 Years Edition generates 192hp and a peak torque of 280Nm.
It has a top speed of 235km/h, while consuming only 5.5 litres of fuel per 100km and emits 125g/km of carbon dioxide (CO2). Sports Suspension se ing designed for performance-oriented driving also conveys the thrill of the iconic MINI go-kart handling.
For its interior, this edition features and elegant handstitched MINI Yours Walknappa Leather sports steering wheel, bearing the 60 Years insignia on the lower spoke.
Aside from that, it also features interior lighting package, onboard computer, automatic climate control air conditioning, rain sensor and storage compartment package on board.
Offering extensive connectivity capabilities and personalised services, MINI Connected, which features Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, MINI Online and Remote Services, is also included.
The MINI Cooper S 3 Door 60 Years Edition is priced at RM258,842.50, on-the-road without insurance, and in celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary, owners who purchase this edition from now till Aug 31 will enjoy coverage under the 60 Months MINI Service + Repair Inclusive programme.
This will provide owners with 60 months or 80,000km (whichever comes first) of free scheduled service and 60 months of warranty with unlimited mileage. For purchases made after Aug 31, the car will be covered by a four-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service.

Prior to the launch of the limited-edition car, Regas Premium Auto flagged off its annual convoy which brought along customers who own a MINI to a randomised and undisclosed location.
“We brought along our customers who own a MINI for the convoy; we drive MINI cars and we hang-out. The purpose of the activity is to build be er rapport with customers and for customers to make comparison of their own MINI with others, as no MINI is the same,” marketing manager Jolene Tay said when met by reporters on Saturday.
The MINI convoy took participants to Kampung Temenggong, Jalan Telaga Air here where they hung out at an ice cream shop before heading back to the showroom.
