Clan association gets RM10,000 for activities
SARIKEI: The Sarikei Pan Chen Lau Clan Association has received a grant of RM10,000 for its activities.
Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii presented the grant during the association’s Mooncake Festival celebration recently.
Tiong called on the association to strengthen unity amongst its members to ensure progress.
He added that as mutual respect is the main ingredient to unite a community, the association should adopt this positive life value as its culture.
“To begin with, let us impress upon the younger generation the importance of respecting their elders, especially their parents.
“Children working outstation should make it a point to contact their parents regularly,” he said.
Huang also commended the association for according special education incentives to children.
