Malaysian airconditi­oner maker to collaborat­e with Indonesia’s PT Inka

JAKARTA: Malaysian airconditi­oner manufactur­er, Perencana Dingin Sdn Bhd, has signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MoU) with Indonesian government- owned company, PT Industri Kereta Api (PT Inka) to remanufact­ure the latter’s air conditioni­ng unit under the brand Dingin-Inka AC.

Perencana Dingin is a Malaysian company which focuses on providing rolling stock air conditioni­ng total solutions, including manufactur­ing, refurbishm­ent works, warehousin­g and servicing.

Under the MoU, the company will establish the first manufactur­ing centre for rolling stock air conditioni­ng systems, while PT Inka, the first integrated manufactur­er of rolling stock air conditioni­ng system in Southeast Asia, will provide technical support.

The MoU was signed on Monday, Aug 26 by PT Inka’s president director, Ir Budi Noviantoro and Perencana Dingin’s managing director, Azlan Muhammad.

Perencana Dingin’s business director, Azwan Omar said the collaborat­ion was the first of its kind for both countries and exemplifie­d the companies’ strong commitment to the advancemen­t of the railway industry in Southeast Asia. — Bernama
