SKF to host series of activities next year

SIBU: Sibu Kidney Foundation (SKF) will host a series of activities next year in conjunction with 2020 World Kidney Day on March 12.

According to SKF’s manager Ivy Lau, the activities over 15 days will start on Mar 1 will include Kidney 2.0 run, Kidney Ride, health talk and children colouring contest under the theme ‘Drink more for healthy kidneys’.

So far, 135 participants have registered for the 3km and 5km Kidney 2.0 run to be held at Dataran Tunku Bujang on Mar 15. Entry fee is RM50 each or RM38 each for group registration of five or more.

Lau said 15 persons have signed up for the 24km Kidney Ride which will start from SKF premises on Mar 1. Registration fee is RM20 each inclusive of a t-shirt and finishers medal.

The closing date for registration for both events is Jan 15.

Both events are organised in collaboration with Melilea (M) Sdn, Sibu’s Swan Cycling Club, Sibu XSports Club and United People’s Activity Association.
