STF to hold six festive open houses next year
KUCHING: With the success of four festive open houses this year, Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF) will hold six similar events next year.
The project leader Liza Sideni said the events would be held on a larger scale.
“We have had Chinese New Year open house in February, Gawai at Kampung Taee, Aidilfitri at Kampung Boyan, and Christmas at the old Courthouse here today.
“Since they have all been wellreceived, we will add two more open houses to our calendar next year - Melanau-style Aidifitri and Deepavali,” she told the press at the launch of Christmas open house at the old Courthouse here yesterday.
She added that the federation had worked closely with charitable organisations in its effort to share the joy of Christmas with them, and giving back to society.

Liza, who is also Brooke Museum manager, said free visits to the museum were also offered to the charitable organisations.
