Association bids farewell to administrative officer
KAPIT: The Kapit Foochow Association held a farewell dinner for Bukit Mabong administrative officer Jackson Kong on Thursday.
Kong will be transferred to the Sungai Asap Sub-District in Belaga.
Association chair Kapitan Yiap Yii Hoo said the transfer would be a great loss to the
Chinese community here as Kong was always ready to help.
“Jackson is a very capable and helpful officer. He is armed with a high spirit of volunteerism and commitment towards his responsibility.
“Since he reported for duty as administrative officer attached to the Bukit Mabong District
Office, Jackson has been very helpful.
“Whenever, we have difficulties when visiting government offices, we just ring up and Jackson is willing to help,” he said.
Kong was a Kapit Foochow Association committee member and also Lions Club of Kapit first vice-president.
