Three-foot cobra caught

MIRI: Civil Defense Force (APM) personnel caught a three-foot long cobra outside a worker’s quarters in Eastwood Valley yesterday.

According to an APM officer Capt (PA) Mohd Hazle Shah Abdu Hamid, they received a call about the presence of the reptile from a 29-year-old woman at 7.16am.

“We immediatel­y sent several personnel to the scene, and indeed there was a three-foot cobra seemingly resting near the wall.

“Fearing for the safety of the house occupants, we captured the reptile and later released it somewhere safe and away from humans,” he said.
