IPD Kota Samarahan calling entries for football tourney

KUCHING: Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters (IPD Kota Samarahan) will be organising the second edition of its Police Chief Football Championship.

Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Lee Chong Chern will officiate the kick off at the UNIMAS football field on March 27.

According to a press statement from IPD Kota Samarahan, the tournament is organised in conjunction with the 213th Police Day celebration which falls on

March 25. Matches will be held on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Cash prizes, trophies and medals await the champion, first runner-up and second runner-up.

IPD Kota Samarahan is inviting federal and state agencies from Samarahan, Kuching, Padawan and Serian to join the tournament. Interested teams may contact ASP Mike Ibrahim at 013 - 8882322.

Participation is limited to 20 teams based on a first come, first serve basis.
