Don’t blame others for Warisan’s loss in Kimanis — Mohd Shafie

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal does not want other quarters blamed for the party candidate’s defeat in the Kimanis parliamentary byelection.

He said Warisan took the responsibility of contesting in the Kimanis parliamentary byelection and to campaign there.

“We (Warisan) were contesting, don’t blame the other parties. We accept the fact because it was the decision taken by the people (in the Kimanis Parliamentary constituency),’’ he told a press conference after witnessing the signing of a collaboration note by the Department of Human Resources with the University of Kuala Lumpur and Petra Energy Berhad here yesterday.

In the Kimanis parliamentary constituency by-election on Saturday, Warisan’s candidate Datuk Karim Bujang lost to the Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Mohamad Alamin. — Bernama
