Man fined, jailed for kicking mother

MIRI: A man was fined RM1,800 in default four month’s jail by a magistrate’s court here for kicking his mother.

Shany Ramba, 26, from Lorong 3C-1-B Tudan Desaras Phase 6 here was charged according to Section 323 of the Penal Code and was read together with Section 326A of the same code which carries a jail sentence up to two years or fine upon conviction.

Based on facts of the case, the accused had caused injuries on his mother Imas Dudul, 52 by kicking her on the back.

He committed the offence at 8pm on January 12 at their family house in Tudan Desaras Phase 6 here.

Shany who was not represented pleaded for leniency in court and said that he regretted his act.
