MIRI: A fund-raising campaign organised by SUPP Piasau has raised RM45,725 from concerned members of the public here for Sheimark Lai Asnah, 9, to undergo an operation to remove a brain tumour at Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching next month.

Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting said the campaign was a success.

“We wish to thank members of the public for donating to a good cause. We have reached our target and the amount raised is more than enough for the operation and other expenses,” Ting told a press conference here yesterday.
