Preserve our cultures for posterity — Serian Dapsy chief

-

KUCHING: The various cultures in Sarawak must be preserved for not just this generation but for the future generations, said Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (Dapsy) Serian chief Brolin Nicholsion.

Brolin together with former Stampin member of Parliament Julian Tan were in Serian town, meeting and distributing mandarin oranges to the Chinese community in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

“Chinese New Year is a celebration where the Chinese community especially their family members from far or near will be back and spend their time together.

“Sarawak is indeed a beautiful place where Dayaks, Malays and Indians come together to enjoy the festival. We must preserve the culture that we have in Sarawak for not only the current generation but also for the future generations,” he said, while hoping for a better year for Sarawak.

Brolin, who is also the special officer to Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei, added that DAP Sarawak will continue to strive hard and take back its rights.

“As our rights have been eroded for the past 56 years under the former administration, DAP Sarawak will give their utmost best to serve Sarawakians as the people had given them the mandate to be their voice in the government.

“For the past 56 years, Sarawak has been governed by the same regime and it is uninterrupted since the Federation of Malaysia was born.

“Therefore, it’s important for Sarawakians to give solid support to Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the next state election so that we will have a new Sarawak that will offer a better choice for Sarawakians,” he said.
