CNY Special for Kah Tung and Tung Ann
SIBU: Wong Tung Ann fired a 65 (OCB) to li the Group A Ne title of the 16th Lunar New Year Golf Special at Sibu Golf Course last weekend.
Dato Sri Wong Ing Kee was second followed by Hii Nik Kiong and Sylvarius Gopog.
In Group B, Ting Yong Jung was the winner followed by Ting King King, Aaron Teng and Hairulhazi. Lee Kah Tung was the comfortable winner in the Gross Section with a 69 ahead of Kung Teck Lee on 74, Abdul Latif and Hu King Huo.
The Senior champion was Wong Lay Nam followed by Wong Koo Ching, Haji Jophar and Azmi Babga.
A total of 91 golfers from throughout the state took part in the tournament sponsored by Dato Sri Wong Ing Kee, past president of Sibu Golf Club.
The event is aimed as fostering fellowship by giving an opportunity for golfers returning home to celebrate Chinese New Year (CNY) and play with fellow golfers here.
The prize presentation held at the clubhouse was graced by Ing Kee’s wife, Datin Sri Ngui Meu Chung, and their two sons, Wong Siew You and Wong Siew Ho.
