Winning start for Azumi in new season
KUCHING: Azumi Ahmad started the year on a positive note when he came out victorious in the Megalanes Sarawak January Bowl Sweep last Saturday.
The youth bowler knocked down a total of 1,088 pins over five games to clinch the title while Nata Bakar secured second position with his total of 1,058. Third position went to Marzainah Jayamara who amassed 1,019 pins followed by Awang Muhd Azizul with 1,016.
Another youth bowler Mohd Zuhair Affandi took fi h position a er he accumulated 991 pins with Awang Fadillah taking sixth place just five pins shy of Zuhair.
In seventh position was Mohd Radzri Annuar who managed 972 pins while Siti Zubaidah Bujang (966), Nur Farzana (956) and Zaini Rawi (948) capped off the night in eighth to 10th positions.
Megalanes Sarawak representative Siti Nur Rokiah gave away the prizes.
