Depressed sexagenarian died from heart complications

KUCHING: A female senior citizen died from heart complications at Sri Aman Hospital near here.

Sri Aman district police chief DSP Bingkok John said the 60-year- old deceased from Jalan Pasar Munggu Sabun died at around 3.05pm last Sunday.

“The confirmation of death was made by the doctor who treated the deceased and the cause of death was due to cardiogenic shock,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Bingkok pointed out that the deceased had been suffering from depression for about three months but did not seek any medical treatment.

The police have classified the case as sudden death.
