“All of them were tasked in four hotspots around Kota Sentosa in an effort to prevent criminal activities from occurring in the areas,” he said in a statement yesterday.

In a briefing for the officers, Aidil reminded them about personal, teammates and asset safety while carrying out their duties with integrity.

“The operations team was also the response team to react on cable theft reports that occurred in Kota Sentosa Town Square which rendered community recreation activities in the area impossible.

“Additionally, they will conduct Crime Prevention Patrols in the aforementioned hotspots, including the town square, “he said.

He said the team was required to conduct ‘snapchecks’ when needed and support the district police with crime Investigation and narcotics when inspecting entertainment centres besides showing the presence of men in blue at residential and commercial areas.
