Pageant’s top three finalists clinch multiple titles
KUCHING: Andreana Celly Haron, Nor Azura Morsidi and Ivana Cassandra Radeng were all smiles as they grabbed not one, but at least two titles each during the finale of Miss Cute Sarawak 2020, staged on the Old Courthouse Auditorium here last weekend.
Andreana, a 16-year-old Bidayuh from Lundu, not only won the coveted crown, but also the ‘Miss Photogenic’ subsidiary title.
The first runner-up Nor Azura, 29, who is from Spaoh, took home the ‘ Miss Social Media’ award; while second runner-up Ivana, a 23-year-old Bidayuh from Kuching, bagged both ‘Miss Popular’ and ‘Darling of The Crowd’ titles.
Other subsidiary title winners were Michelle Pamela Desion who received the People’s Choice Award, and Michelle Pamela Desion who won ‘Best Advocacy (Social Media Campaign)’ for her #SayNoToDrugs #CuteTanpaDadah platform.
Ten women from all across Sarawak took part in the pageant, which also staged the male version, Mr Cute Sarawak 2020 which had 14 contestants.
The winner of the male pageant was Nicholas Stindin Tikok, an Iban-Bidayuh from Lubok Antu.
The 27-year-old was also ‘Mr Popular’ that night – a subsidiary title determined by public votes.
Finishing first runner-up was Razani Suhai, a 26-year-old Malay from Lundu.
The second runner-up was Victor Judah, a 27-year-old Iban from Miri who also clinched the ‘People’s Choice Award’.
Other subsidiary title winners in the male pageant were Mohamad Isham Abdullah (Mr Photogenic), Augustine Gerang Likong (Mr Social Media) and Joannes Vinihillary Elvin Harry (Beau of The Crowd).
The pageant was run by Tiara Management. Its founder Nickson Simbor said the key objective was to unearth and expose young Sarawakian talents to the entertainment industry like singing and acting, as well as to modelling, hosting and event management.
