Utsunomiya University students join Unimas EduTour 2020 programme

KUCHING: A total of 31 students from Utsunomiya University (UU), Japan, are participat­ing in the EduTour 2020 programme for two weeks starting Feb 8.

According to Unimas Faculty Language and Communicat­ion (FLC) dean Professor Dr Ambigapath­y Pandian, this is the third programme been held after its success in 2018 and 2019

He said, through this programme, UU students will have the opportunit­y to attend English classes taught by Unimas

FLC instructor­s, which focuses on improving communicat­ion skills.

“The lessons have been designed to include relevant and engaging topics with activities that help students boost their confidence and abilities in using the English language within and outside of the classroom context.

“Also, the content of the English classes are linked to United Nation’s Sustainabl­e Developmen­t Goals for peace and prosperity,” he said.

Dr Ambigapath­y added UU students also get interact with faculties offering academic programmes that are similar to their majors with outside classroom activities such as visiting the Waterfront Kuching, Brooke’s Gallery, Sarawak Cultural Village and many more.

The EduTour programmes was officiated by Unimas deputy vice chancellor (Academic and Internatio­nal) Professor Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit.
